Poem
Choosing Partners
University of Washington, fall of 2001
Two people do not a relationship make,Nor twins a couple; It does not take.
A splash of forbidden fruit, a picnic at a lake,Creates not a rippleFor two people to make.
To choose poorly is the mistakeThat can only cripple,Can only take.
Where children are at stake,The damage will tripleWith each misstep they make.
So prepare to forsakeAll but the golden apple,And this will surely take.
Better to pick well to prevent a wakeThan risk a quadrupleA mistake will make,And the toll it will take.
