Poem
Ocean Pebbles
University of Washington, fall of 2001
Waves roll pebblesUp the beachThen draw them backDown the bank—Clatter and chime
Moonlight silversThe wet black stonesAs foam thinsAnd leaves them stillRound and smooth
The next wave breaksIts echo fadesBetween the stonesA darkness opensThat moonlight cannot fill
