The note on the last page

Lon:

You do an excellent job describing your different reactions to these novels. Your points are well taken — that is, you’re able to describe the grounds for your evaluation. However, this is only half the assignment — the other half is looking at your assumptions. That is, why do you value action? Why do you believe that love should be “smooth”? This is the key to this assignment: not only making your evaluations but reflecting on why!

Dream People hopes to complete the assignment, and promises an answer to the instructor’s note: a look at the assumptions, and a reflection on why. It will be my first romantic novel, merging the two books the essay set side by side, The Bridges of Madison County and The Giant’s House.
